Funding Futures wants to pilot a series of Empower Her projects throughout 2024. Our aim is to take groups of 10 disadvantaged women and work with them for 10 weeks where we will guide them on a journey of healing, development and learning. This will culminate in three accredited qualifications for each candidate. Perhaps more important, is that it will lead to confidence, employability and independence that enables social mobility.

We will use beauty as our tool.

This page will introduce you to UK Funding Futures C.I.C and outline how our Empower Her projects will impact lives and how you can get involved.

Candidate Eligibility, Nomination and Selection process

To be eligible to qualify for this project candidates must be not in employment, education or training. We will prioritise women who have or are experiencing;

Domestic abuse
Homelessness
Racism
Poverty
Child neglect
Prison
Addiction Recovery
(not in active addiction)

Candidate Eligibility

We will ask for candidate nominations from the local community and accept them from anyone including organisations such as schools, faith groups and other VCSE organisations.

We will also welcome self-nominations.

The nomination window will be 4 weeks. Nominations can be completed via our nomination form, social media, email, telephone, in writing and in person so as to not exclude anyone.

Nomination Process

Our selection process will be fair and impartial, we will invite 3 women who hold senior community positions to form a selection panel with a Funding Futures director and review the nominations.

From this we will select 10 candidates and form a waiting list of others who can take a place should one become available.

This waiting list will form the candidates of our next Empower Her project.
